I had the opportunity to photograph some birds of prey at the Schlitz Audobon Nature Center in Milwaukee. It was a warm overcast morning, which provided great light for shooting birds. The volunteers at the nature center were very helpful. First, they had a turkey vulture and a Harris hawk fly past us a few times. Photographing birds on the wing was pretty hard. I need to practice keeping them in focus! Then, they brought out groups of birds and displayed them on perches. There were owls, falcons, eagles, hawks and the turkey vulture. Making photos of these animals was a lot of fun. The snowy owl that you see here is just one of the birds. I will put up a gallery of some other shots very soon.
